Entries have opened for the 2017 Shine Awards, which celebrate the achievements of women working in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism, and the individuals and businesses that actively support their career progression.
The awards aim to help increase the number of women working in senior leadership roles across the visitor economy, by showcasing role models and gender diversity champions.
The 2017 awards, run by People 1st in partnership with The Caterer, will be presented at a black-tie dinner at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London on 16 October.

• Mentor of the Year
• Innovator of the Year
• Ambassador of the Year
• Best Initiative to Retain and Develop Women
• Best Place for Women to Work
• Apprentice of the Year (female nominees only)
• Chef of the Year (female nominees only)
• Woman of the Year
• The Robyn Jones Lifetime Achievement Award
Nominations for the Shine Awards will close on 16 June and can be made now at theshineawards.co.uk.
