A new private members' club is launching off London's Park Lane this summer which will trade for 24 hours a day.
The Colony Club is relaunching in July following refurbishment with the new club, 24 Mayfair, taking over what was formerly a food and beverage space serving the casino. 24 Mayfair will be a standalone club with a new food and beverage offering.
The ground floor space will operate as an intimate bar serving a light daytime menu, transforming into a cocktail bar in the evening, including a selection of Japanese cocktails.
The first floor restaurant will offer a contemporary Japanese menu complete with an eight-cover, glass-encased teppanyaki bar. Dishes will include fresh dived king scallops, vanilla miso and pickled plums; scorched salmon and buffalo mozzarella makimono, chilli spiced mayonnaise and bonito flakes; and seared foie gras, enoki mushroom, pomegranate molasses and toasted walnuts.
A second menu will also be available showcasing global cuisines.
Interiors will be inspired by retro Hollywood, with plush deep violet velvet armchairs against a warm, tarnished gold backdrop. Fashion designer Maria Grachvogel has designed the staff uniforms.
24 Mayfair will also offer a weekly programme of cultural events, including weekly live music performances, and DJs every night.
