Michelin-starred French restaurant Club Gascon is to run a pop-up outlet in St Bartholomew the Great, one of London's oldest churches, while its main site undergoes refurbishment .
From 13 September to 6 October, Club Gascon will offer a four-course tasting menu, Cloister by Club Gascon, at £80 per person.
Created by Club Gascon's head chef and founder Pascal Aussignac, the menu will include the likes of aromatic king scallop with spicy berried and frosted watermelon; and peppered braised beef rib with oceanic tapioca and samphire.
A vegetarian menu will also be available, and guests will have the option to pay £40 extra for a wine flight or £15 for tea pairing.
Club Gascon, formerly Lyon's Tea House, was founded in September 1998 by Pascal Aussignac and business partner Vincent Labeyrie. It won Best Newcomer at the Catey Awards in 1999 and was awarded a Michelin star in 2002.
The restaurant within the Grade II-listed building will reopen this autumn. The group's other restaurants, Cigalon, Comptoir Gascon, and Le Bar will remain open during this period.
