Chef line-up announced for Meatopia 2018

For the sixth year running, Meatopia which was set up by the late Josh Ozersky and brought to the UK by Richard H Turner, will showcase dishes from renowned chefs around the world championing high quality, ethically sourced ingredients.

 

Chefs making their Meatopia debut include Jeremy Chan of Ikoyi, Sam Bryant of Coal Rooms, Freddy Bird of Bristol’s The Lido, Ben Davy from Ox Club, Rok Shoreditch’s Matt Young and Aaron Webster and Remi Williams of Smoke & Salt.

 

Meatopia will also be showcasing restaurants that are yet to open such as Neil Campbell of ROVI (June) and Jackson Boxer and Andrew Clarke of St Leonards (due to open this month).

 

Yotam Ottolenghi, Nud Dudhia of Breddos Tacos, David Carter of Smokestak and Meatopia UK Founder Richard H Turner, will all create dishes specially for the festival which have never been seen on their restaurant menus.

 

Flying in from around the world, Lennox Hastie of critically acclaimed Firedoor in Sydney, Athanasios “Tommy” Kargatzidis of Baron in Beirut, Joris Bijdendijk from Amsterdam’s famous Rijks, Aleksey Burov of Smoke BBQ in St Petersburg, Holy Smoke’s Johan Fritzell from Sweden and a very special cross-country collaboration from Uri Navon from Machneyuda in Jerusalem and Dan Yosha from Balagan in Paris also form part of the line-up.

 

Meatopia will also feature a line-up of live music, DJs, workshops, live chef demos from the Cutting Room stage and the return of Melissa Cole’s Craftopia.
