Bombay Bustle owner to open high-end Chinese restaurant in Mayfair

The team behind Mayfair Indian restaurants Bombay Bustle and Jamavar, is to open a high-end Chinese restaurant on Curzon Street this May.

Leela Group has secured a 17-year lease for a 3,324 sq ft site, with an annual rent of £220,000.

The restaurant, previously occupied by Indian restaurants Marani and Matsya, will have 85 covers, split over four floors.

David Rawlinson, founding director of Restaurant Property - which struck the deal, said: “Mayfair continues to attract significant international interest. Despite a challenging 2019, there are grass roots signs of confidence returning to parts of the sector and premium prices starting to rise over 2020.”

Restaurant Property completed the deal off-market.
