Haymarket Hub plans 47-bedroom extension

The Haymarket Hub hotel in Edinburgh has submitted plans to extend the hotel including 47 additional rooms and a new kitchen and dining space.

The proposal to Edinburgh City Council includes a nine-story extension to the rear of the building, which would take the property to 242 bedrooms if approved.

The property is owned by the Edinburgh Collection, which acquired the former Tune hotel in 2017 for an undisclosed sum from TP Edinburgh.

Owned by hospitality group Palm Holdings, the Edinburgh Collection also owns the city's Princes Street Suites aparthotel, the Holyrood aparthotel and the Old Waverley hotel on Princes Street.
