Kerb announces first traders for Seven Dials Market

Kerb has announced its first line-up of traders ahead of the opening of Seven Dials Market, London, this September.

The all-female line-up includes vegan offering Club Mexicana; Yum Bun, who will serve-up soft steamed buns; fried fish trader INK; alcohol-free pop venture Square Root and Rice Guys, who will serve-up modern Chinese rice bowls.

Club Mexicana, Yum Bun and Square Root have all previously traded on sites run by Kerb, which operates markets in King's Cross, Paddington, the Gherkin, St Katherine's Dock and West India Quay. INK and Rice Guys join from Kerb's incubator programme, known as inKERBator.

Kerb founder, Petra Barran said: "We are excited to reveal the first group of Seven Dials Market traders, especially given the history we share and having worked together since they all first hatched. We strive to work closely with our traders, aiming to provide so much more than just a piece of pavement to trade from - Seven Dials Market is our next step in driving forward this industry and giving our street food start-ups a whole new platform on which to thrive."

Seven Dials Market will be the first bricks and mortar site for Kerb and will host a total of 26 independent food businesses.

Julia Wilkinson, portfolio and group restaurant strategy executive for landowner Shaftesbury added: "The announcement of these five emerging traders is an exciting next step for Seven Dials Market, and sets the benchmark for the quality of offering which visitors can expect when the doors open in September. We're thrilled to give young food and beverage brands the platform to be part of this thriving destination in the heart of London's West End."
