Team behind Notting Hill’s Mazi to open bistro and cocktail bar

The husband-and-wife team behind Greek restaurant Mazi has revealed plans to open bistro and cocktail bar Suzi Tros next month.

Suzi Tros will join Adrien Carré and Christina Mouratoglo’s Mazi in London’s Notting Hill serving small plates taking their inspiration from northern Grecce.

Head chef John Skotidas will move to the new site – named after a character from cult 1960s Greek film Parisiana – from Mazi.

His menu will incorporate raw dishes including crayfish tartare and sea urchin and bonito carpaccio. Hot dishes will include whole grilled calamari, grandmama’s meatballs as well as grilled and smoked whole aubergine. A changing selection of accompaniments will include stuffed peppers with rice as well as chickpea and octopus salad.

A wine list will include exclusively Greek offerings alongside Greek beers.

An upstairs dining room will have 30 covers as well as a 10-seat kitchen counter.
