London's L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon to close this weekend
Michelin-starred L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon in London's Covent Garden is closing this Sunday.

and said a Comptoir Joël Robuchon would instead be opening in Mayfair, overseen by L'Atelier executive chef Jeremy Page. The restaurant confirmed the closure but could provide no further details.The restaurant, named after legendary French chef Joël Robuchon, opened in 2006 on the former site of the East@West eatery. It won a Michelin star within its first four months of business and went on to achieve two stars, but reverted to one in the 2014 guide.
When it opened the site featured a ground-floor, 44-cover L'Atelier and a first-floor La Cuisine de Joël Robuchon.
Robuchon, the world's most-starred chef on his death last year aged 73, had 13 restaurants with 24 stars. The original L'Atelier opened in Paris in 2003.
