Dubliner Simon Whiteside’s first solo restaurant Roe has opened in London’s Pop Brixton shipping container development, focusing on sustainable seafood from the British and Irish coast.

Whiteside, the co-founder of seafood restaurant Hook in Camden, has opened the site with his wife Cairene without investors.

The cocktail menu features spirits from the Sustainable Spirit Co alongside a small selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. Guests sit at two communal tables made from reclaimed wood.

Brera Riverside

Brera Café in London’s Canary Wharf has relaunched following a refurbishment and a rebrand as Brera Riverside. The space is divided into a bar, lounge and dining room, acting as a café by day and restaurant by evening.

DoubleTree Forest Pines

DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort has opened in Broughton, Lincolnshire, situated within 190 acres of woodland with a 27-hole golf course. The property features the Grill restaurant, two bars, 11 meeting rooms, a spa, a fully equipped gym and an indoor pool.

Brazilian restaurant brand Fazenda has opened in Birmingham’s 55 Colmore Row. The restaurant offers up to 15 different meats and a sides bar, which features feijoada – a traditional Brazilian stew – salads, cured meats and sushi. There is also a wine room with more than 100 different blends.

Lodore Falls spa

Lodore Falls hotel has opened its new Falls spa, the final phase of a £10m redevelopment of the hotel in Keswick, Cumbria. The new spa features a 16m outdoor infinity-edge vitality pool, a glass-fronted Finnish sauna, a four-person mud rasul, four thermal suites and a Champagne bar. The launch includes 18 new Scandi-inspired spa suites with complimentary access to the spa.

A Greek bar, restaurant, lounge and rooftop terrace has opened in London’s Mayfair. Located within the former Cartier headquarters, Onima offers a menu of Mediterranean and Asian fusion cuisine and evening DJ sets.

Pachamama East

The creators of Chicama in Chelsea and Pachamama in Marylebone have opened a new Peruvian-inspired restaurant, Pachamama East, in London’s Shoreditch. The site focuses on the Asian flavours in Peruvian cuisine.
