Sabrina Gidda joins AllBright women-only members' club

Chef Sabrina Gidda has been appointed executive chef of London-based women-only members' club AllBright.

Gidda, who competed in this year's Great British Menu on BBC Two recently, will look after the food and beverage at the recently launched Fitzrovia club, as well as at the new AllBright clubs set to open on Maddox Street in Mayfair in April, and in Los Angeles in the US, due to open shortly after.

She made it to the Roux Scholarship finals in both 2014 and 2015 and was previously head chef at Italian restaurant Bernardi's in Marylebone.

She plans to use her new role as a platform for encouraging more women to pursue a career in professional kitchens and to champion female-led food businesses and suppliers.

Set up by serial entrepreneur Debbie Wosskow and former chief executive of Hearst Magazines Anna Jones for women in work and business, AllBright's members include Oscar-nominated actor Naomie Harris and House of Lords peer Martha Lane Fox.
