Delaware North announced as headline sponsor of The Caterer's Product Excellence Awards

Global foodservice provider Delaware North has been announced as the headline sponsor of The Caterer's Product Excellence Awards (PEAs).

Since their launch in 2014, the PEAs have sought to identify and recognise the hospitality industry's most innovative and excellent products and the judging of hundreds of food, drink and equipment entries commenced this week with multiple judging panels of industry experts joining The Caterer and Delaware North chef representatives.

With customer expectations continuing to rise, competition is fierce in the marketplace and foodservice operators need a point of difference for their offerings. Sourcing the right products is paramount and the PEAs help to showcase these unique products and services.

Lisa Jenkins, products and suppliers editor of The Caterer, said: "The PEAs are a stamp of approval from the industry for manufacturers, suppliers and producers to display on their products and marketing collateral. It also gives us the opportunity to recognise the research, investment and sheer determination that goes into the creation and introduction of the thousands of products launched into the hospitality sector every year."

Delaware North MD Doug Tetley said: "As a company we are the UK's leading sports service caterer, known throughout the industry for our very high standards of hospitality catering and service. It is a natural fit for us to be supporting the Product Excellence Awards and to be working with The Caterer, a brand leader in its sector".

For 2018, the PEAs moves to a new festive lunchtime slot, hosted by Delaware North at the London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in London. A three-course sit-down lunch with drinks reception and stadium tours will allow finalists and guests the opportunity to enjoy Delaware North's premium hospitality experience.

The PEAs provide an excellent opportunity for suppliers and manufacturers of all the shortlisted products to network with invited operators and purchasers and for winners to celebrate their success.

Plus the opportunity to tag on some Christmas shopping at Westfield Stratford afterwards!

The awards celebration takes place from 11.30am on Thursday 6 December with each shortlisted finalist given one inclusive ticket per shortlisted entry. Extra tickets are available at £150 per person or £1,400 per table of 10 and can be purchased by emailing charlie.montagu@thecaterer.com.
