Tender opportunity: Burton Constable Hall
Burton Constable Hall are pleased to advertise the formal tender of their catering provision from January 2019 and invite submissions from suitably qualified and experienced caterers.
This is a really exciting opportunity to provide the catering at a prestigious, high-profile and award-winning visitor attraction.
Burton Constable Hall and Grounds are managed by the Burton Constable Foundation, a charity whose mission is to safeguard Burton Constable for future generations. The property is a well-established visitor attraction and has a reputation as a country house estate providing a high-quality visitor experience, therefore the Foundation is looking for Caterers who can provide a consistent standard of high quality catering for the year-round daytime offer, as well as being flexible for groups and events and innovative regarding future development.
The Elizabethan Hall and accredited country house museum is set in 330 acres of stunning parkland and situated about half an hour drive from Hull and Beverley. The location of the catering at the entrance and exit to the property means that, with the right offer, visitors will use the catering more than once and there is a substantial opportunity to grow the daytime revenue as well as opportunities around the development of events.
The Foundation employs a passionate and enthusiastic team of staff to manage the property, keen to work in partnership with the successful caterers to provide an exceptional experience and support both the catering business and the future development of the property. This offers an exciting proposition for Caterers and we envisage that the opportunity may suit established Caterers running an individual business and looking for their next challenge and development prospect.
The contract basis is likely to be three years with an extension opportunity for a further two years, however there is room for negotiation on contract terms, so proposals are welcome. Guidelines on the financial expectations are provided in the full tender documents.
