Revolution Bars Group announces trio of December openings

Revolution Bars Group is set to open three new sites under the Revolution brand in Solihull, Inverness and Putney next month.

The openings will increase the group's portfolio to 72 across the UK and employ approximately 180 new staff.

The openings include Revolution Solihull, an 86-cover bar and restaurant opening on 1 December; the 98-cover Revolution Inverness opening on 20 December in a listed building converted from a former McEwans department store; and the group's sixth London venue will also open on 20 December in Putney, a 120-cover, three-storey bar in a former Victorian hotel.

Myles Doran, commercial director of Revolution Bars Group, said the venues are all in "high footfall locations" and the group is confident they will perform well, adding: "With three openings planned before Christmas and in quick succession, we are able to capitalise on the key festive trading period."

Revolution Bars Group's chief executive Mark McQuater resigned last month, shortly after Stonegate dropped its £101.5m takeover offer.
