Following extensive remodelling work and the addition of 16 bedrooms the take the property up to 57 rooms, the White Horse will reopen in November as an independent hotel.

There will be a total re-design of the ground floor area to create a destination café, bar and restaurant, alongside new event spaces. Local and freshly prepared produce will be available, both to eat in the hotel and takeaway.

The interior design will be overseen by Squid Inc, who worked with Bespoke on the opening of Hotel Gotham in Manchester in 2015.

"Bespoke Hotels and our creative partners will be overseeing a complete overhaul of both the accommodation and culinary sides of the business, with a view to re-establishing it as one of the region's foremost foodie destinations."

Founded in 2000, Bespoke Hotels currently has a portfolio of more than 200 owned and managed properties worldwide.
