HH&Co Backstage cookery school to open at Lime Wood

Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder are to head up a new cookery school at the five-red-AA-star, 32-bedroom Lime Wood hotel in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

Located in the hotel's cellar, which previously accommodated a billiards table, the school intends to provide cookery courses that are "unique, fun and informal" in the style of Hartnett Holder & Co.

Everyone from complete beginners to budding professionals are invited to learn the secrets of Hartnett and Holder's style within the new purpose-built school.

While Hartnett and Holder will give the occasional class, the school will be run on a day-to-day basis by Iain Longhorn, who was previously operations manager and shareholder of the Chesil Rectory and Three Tuns in Winchester, for six years until August 2014.

Longhorn has also worked as head chef at the Bugle in Hamble and as general manager at the White Star in Southampton.

Courses start at £120 for half-day tuition on canapes and wine, rising to £260 for a full-day class with a guest chef.
